Birds of Sumatra
North Sumatra is one of Indonesia's most rewarding destinations for birdwatching and wildlife enthusiasts. From the ancient rainforests of Gunung Leuser National Park to the volcanic highlands surrounding Lake Toba, the province is home to hundreds of bird species, including rare hornbills, colorful kingfishers, eagles, pittas, and many endemic birds found only in Sumatra.
Rhinoceros hornbill

White-crowned Hornbill
