Day 1

Your jungle adventure begins after a hearty breakfast, as you set out at 9 am to explore the verdant wilds of Gunung Leuser National Park. Throughout the day, you can expect to trek for up to 7 hours, including time for a relaxing lunch break.

Along the way, your experienced guide will share their extensive knowledge of the local wildlife, flora, and fauna found within this stunning tropical rainforest. Keep your eyes peeled for the chance to spot wild orangutans swinging through the treetops – a truly unforgettable sight.

After your day of exploration, you’ll arrive at your riverside campsite, where you can freshen up in the cool, clear waters of the Bohorok River. Spend the evening helping to prepare a delicious dinner, or simply relax on the riverbank as the sun sets. If the conditions are right, you might even enjoy the flickering glow of a cozy bonfire before drifting off to the soothing sounds of the jungle.

Day 2

Wake up to the symphony of the rainforest, where you might spot Sumatran monitor lizards, tortoises, and vibrant river butterflies right around your campsite. After breakfast, your guide will lead you to a serene nearby waterfall, where you can swim and unwind.

Following a final lunch at the camp, it’s time to embark on a traditional rafting journey down the river, taking you directly to the village of Bukit Lawang and your hotel. This leisurely float down the waterway provides the perfect end to your immersive jungle experience.

Throughout your 2-day trek, you’ll be supported by our team of knowledgeable guides and porters, who will handle all the logistics so you can simply focus on soaking up the breathtaking natural wonders of Sumatra. Contact us today to start planning your unforgettable jungle adventure.
