Bukit Lawang Trekking strongly recommends that you and all members of your travel group obtain comprehensive travel insurance for the full duration of your tour. It is your responsibility to ensure that the insurance policy you purchase is appropriate for your needs and provides full coverage for your specific requirements. We advise that your travel insurance includes coverage for personal accidents, medical expenses, death, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, personal liability, and loss or damage to luggage and personal belongings.

If you choose to join a tour with Bukit Lawang Trekking sufficient insurance coverage, we will not be held liable for any costs or expenses. This includes costs arising from personal injury, medical treatment, death, disability, medical evacuation, repatriation, or any loss or damage to luggage and personal effects.

Acceptance of risk

Some of the activities available during your tour may involve a certain degree of personal risk. The natural environment and terrain can be challenging and occasionally hazardous. Activities such as jungle trekking,

wildlife observation, mountain climb, cycling, rafting/tubing, swimming, and transportation travel carry inherent risks. These risks include personal injury or even death. By choosing to participate in these activities, you acknowledge and accept these risks. You also take full responsibility for your own safety and actions.

Our expert jungle guides and assistant guides will provide safety instructions and briefings prior to and during your activities. It is important that you listen to and follow all safety guidance and notices. This helps minimize potential risks. Your booking with Bukit Lawang Trekking is accepted with the understanding that you are aware of and accept the risks associated with the tour activities. If you feel uncomfortable or prefer not to participate in any activity, please inform your jungle guide.
