Itinerary

Day 1

Pick up from your Medan hotel or airport. Then, drive four hours to Bukit Lawang in an air-conditioned car. Once you arrive, check in at the hotel. After that, the rest of the day is free for leisure. During this time, you can swim or take a beautiful walk to the nearby local village.

Day 2

Starting at 9 a.m. from your guesthouse, you’ll begin a six-hour trek through the jungle. Along the way, you’ll stop for lunch in the heart of the forest. Before you set out, we recommend bringing mosquito repellent, a camera, and one large bottle of drinking water. Additionally, be sure to wear comfortable shoes and lightweight clothing. Finally, prepare yourself for an unforgettable adventure.

Day 3

After breakfast, we head toward Lake Toba. Along the way, we pass through Berastagi and stop at the vibrant Fruit Market. Because time is limited, we soon continue to Sipiso-piso Waterfall. By the afternoon, we arrive at Lake Toba. After that, we cross the lake by boat to reach Samosir Island, where we stay overnight.

Day 4

After breakfast, you’ll start a tour around Samosir Island. First, visit Ambarita Village. It is known for ancient stone chairs and Batak architecture. Next, go to Simanindo to explore the Batak Museum. There, you can also enjoy a traditional Batak dance performance at 10:30 a.m. After the show, visit another village to see local artisans making sarongs and ulos—the traditional Batak blankets. Then, you can stop for lunch before returning to your accommodation in the afternoon.

Day 5

After breakfast, you will transfer back to Medan Airport (KNO) for your departure. Finally, your journey comes to an end. Before you leave, make sure all your belongings are packed and ready.
