Three Day Jungle Trek

Three days trek deep into the heart of the rainforest, where you’ll discover the incredible biodiversity and unique vegetation of one of the world’s most precious ecosystems. This journey offers more than just scenic beauty; it sharpens your senses and deepens your connection with nature. There’s a high chance of encountering some of the rainforest’s most iconic wildlife including wild orangutans, gibbons, Thomas leaf monkeys, pig-tailed macaques, flying squirrels, Sumatran peacocks, and even majestic hornbills soaring overhead. Each night, you’ll camp at a different remote location in the jungle, fully immersed in nature. Falling asleep under the stars to the rhythm of the rainforest is an experience you won’t forget.

Please note: The Jungle Explorer Trek is physically demanding and best suited for those in good health and with a moderate to high level of fitness.

Day 1

Start Jungle Trek After breakfast In the morning at 09: 00 am you will start your journey into the jungle of Gunung Leuser National Park to see semi-wild orangutans, on your trek 6-7 hours walk, your guide will educate you on the local wildlife, Flora, and Fauna you may encounter in Gunung Leuser. After lunch, you will continue your trek to see other wildlife and learn about the trees/plants which can be used in traditional medicine.

Around 4 pm you will arrive at the campsite, and your guide will select a suitable spot next to the river to set up camp. You are then free to enjoy the fresh water of the small stream, swim, help prepare dinner, or even go fishing. After dinner if weather permitting, our team will prepare a bonfire, Guests can relax at a campsite near a small stream and have some Coffee or tea before they settle down to sleep surrounded by the sounds of the jungle and small stream.

Day 2

The following morning you will start after breakfast a trek for over 6 hours. While going deeper into the rainforest your chances of encountering wildlife will increase. at noon your guides will prepare for you a simple jungle lunch on the top of a hill. Fantastic scenery along the way through the National Park will be then a memorable experience for you. the campsite for the second night will be next to the River Bank, where our team will offer you an Indonesian dinner and refreshments. enjoy the evening times at your jungle camp.

DAY 3

The following morning you will wake up to the sounds of the jungle. you have a big chance to observe the Sumatran monitor lizards, tortoises, and colorful river butterflies around the campsite. you just relax at an amazing waterfall next to the campsite. After a light lunch it’s time for you to return to Bukit Lawang. by Local traditional rafting “jungle taxi”) down the River takes you back to the guesthouse/Hotel.
