During your trek, you may spot the rare Sumatran orangutan, walk beneath towering trees, and meet friendly local villagers.
These journeys are not only exciting, but they also help protect nature and support our community.
Who We Are
We are a dedicated group of licensed jungle guides based in Bukit Lawang. Our mission is to protect the rainforest, support local people, and provide you with a safe, fun, and educational experience.
All of our guides speak fluent English and hold certifications from the Indonesian Tourist Guides Association (ITGA/HPI). Because of their training and hands-on experience, they understand the jungle well. Therefore, each trek is informative and sustainable-conscious.
In addition, we work closely with nearby villages. By creating jobs in tourism, we help preserve cultural traditions and grow the local economy.
Moreover, we follow ethical travel practices. This includes respecting wildlife, reducing waste, and minimizing our impact on nature.
Tondi Sirait – Expert Trekking Guide
Tondi was born and raised in a remote village near Bukit Lawang. From an early age, he developed a deep connection with nature. That passion for the jungle eventually inspired him to become a guide.<br />After finishing school, he began working in adventure tourism. Soon after, he joined our team. Each trek helped him grow in both skill and confidence.<br />Tondi holds a certified trekking license from the Ministry of Tourism, Indonesia. He has guided travelers from Europe, the USA, Canada, and Australia.<br />Over time, he gained more knowledge about the jungle’s wildlife, plants, local culture, and religion. As a result, his tours offer both insight and a personal touch.<br />Additionally, Tondi has created many custom trekking routes. These unique journeys allow guests to connect with the rainforest in a deeper and more meaningful way.<br />
Ucok Sirait – Senior Jungle Guide
Hello! I’m Ucok, a certified jungle guide from Bukit Lawang. I’ve been leading treks for over 16 years. We explore the wild terrain of Gunung Leuser National Park. This park is home to Sumatran orangutans, exotic birds, and rare plants.</p> <p>Over the years, I’ve learned a lot about the jungle. I enjoy sharing this with guests.
