Day 1: Arrival & Transfer to Bukit Lawang

Upon your arrival at Medan Airport, our driver will transfer you to Bukit Lawang a scenic 4-hour drive through lush landscapes. Once you arrive at the Central Point Station in Bukit Lawang, you will meet our local guide, who will escort you to your hotel. You will stay there for one night.

Day 2: Jungle Trek into Gunung Leuser National Park

After a hearty breakfast, your jungle trek begins at 9:00 AM. Trek through the verdant trails of Gunung Leuser National Park, renowned for its unique tropical biodiversity. During the day, you’ll trek for up to 7 hours, including a relaxing lunch in the heart of the jungle.

Along the way, your experienced guide will share insights into the local flora and fauna. Notably, this is your best opportunity to spot wild Sumatran orangutans swinging freely through the trees—a magical and rare sight.

Following the day’s trek, you will finally arrive at your riverside jungle campsite. Once you’re settled, you may choose to assist in preparing a delicious dinner. You can simply relax by the river as the sun gently sets. As night begins to fall, take the opportunity to enjoy the warm glow of a cozy bonfire (weather permitting). Later on, you might share stories under the stars with your fellow trekkers. Eventually, drift off to sleep to the soothing sounds of the jungle — a true highlight of your jungle adventure.

Day 3: Waterfall, Wildlife & River Rafting Experience

Wake up early to the symphony of the rainforest. You might spot Sumatran monitor lizards, tortoises, and butterflies near your campsite. Following breakfast, take a short visit waterfall where you can swim and relax and enjoy a final lunch at camp before embarking on a traditional rafting journey down the Bohorok River. As you float, admire the jungle scenery one last time. Meanwhile, the calm pace offers the perfect chance to reflect on your journey.

Ultimately, this peaceful ride will deliver you back to the village of Bukit Lawang. As soon as you arrive, check into your hotel for a well-deserved night’s rest.
