All of our Team speak fluent English and hold certifications from the Indonesian Tourist Guides Association (ITGA/HPI). Because of their training and hands-on experience, they understand the jungle well. Therefore, each trek is informative and sustainable-conscious.

Hi there, I’m Ucok, and I’m a licensed jungle guide based in Bukit Lawang. I have been guiding treks for about fifteen years. I navigate through the wild landscape of Gunung Leuser National Park. This is the park which home the Sumatran orangutans, different species of birds, and some rare plants. Over the years, I have picked up quite a lot about the jungle, and I look forward to passing it on to my guests. It is my way of showing them how important nature is and the need to conserve it.

As part of the Bukit Lawang Trekking Team, Ucok is committed to responsible tourism. I follows ethical guidelines to ensure that wildlife is respected and undisturbed, while also supporting local community projects that benefit for Bukit Lawang.
